    1925-2025
    My German-speaking ancestors arrived
    in Fayette County, Texas in 1853.
    My great-grandfather transitioned
    to Williamson County in 1925
    when purchasing a cotton gin belonging to
    one of the early settlers of Circleville,
    the Stearns family.
    "We've seen a lot of changes in the area
    in 100 years!"
    I try to convey some of the remarkable changes
    we've witnessed in the book I'm writing,
