New Year's Day

An enjoyable first day of 2025
spent with my bestie Chad
(r.).

We played Farkle
and
watched a couple of movies.

I made a big pot of
black-eye pea and kale soup

and he made a delicious apple pie with homemade crust.

December began with
one of my favorite traditions:
Southwestern University's
Annual Candlelight Service
at
Lois Perkins Chapel
Andy Sharp's great pics

This year my aunts Angie and Rose accompanied me on my annual return pilgrimage to the beautiful SU campus.  Aunt Rose is the mom of another SU alum, my cousin Tracy.  We had a great time and enjoyed dinner at Olive Garden following the service.

Decemeber Dining Out with Family

Told my Aunts I'd had a stressful day -
so they invited me out to eat at Masfajitas.
And who should we run into -
my niece Lauren & her fiance Will!
Their big day coming up April 2025!

CHRISTMAS
at Terry's Work

The Boss gave me $$$ to spend
on new Christmas tree & decorations.
I had fun putting this together
at our New Accounts / Reception Desk.

CHRISTMAS
at Terry's Home

Mom loved Christmas.
Her presence is felt most strongly
during the holidays because she
loved this season so much.
That's why I have her photo
beside my Nativity.

I did not do my 12 oak trees along the driveway and throughout the property as I've done for the past 5 years.  I've put that behind me.  I am too old to be going up and down that ladder a hundred or so times with strands of lights strangling me the whole time!  LOL!

Picked up my pair of Toy Soldiers
last year at Wal-Mart
and this year I was pleased to
find these Toy Soldier
patio pillows (below).

My Mom would always hang this Nativity
on her and Dad's front door
and she'd nestle greenery
all around its wire frame.
I love pulling it out each year &
searching for a good place to hang it.

Vintage stuffed Santa that I
purchased years ago in a shop
in Salado.

Arne and I have resided here for 14 years and
never had a Christmas tree inside our home.
Finally!
We worked hard on our 2.5' fir!

Found this in the archives of Christmas' past,
beautiful scripture verse painted by my
neighbor and talented artist Suzanne.

Cheating here at the conclusion with the
official 2023 Christmas card photo
taken by friend Denise Carlos.
Arne & I look pretty much the same
a year later, and still wishing you
a very merry Christmas!
